Alberts Family Reunion

This is a copy of the information letter that was sent to 1 person per family. It is that person's responsibility to pass it on to all others in that family line.

The Letter...

There is going to be an Alberts Family Reunion on June 28th, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at Pelican Lake. We will be having a pot luck so please bring a dish, plus bring your own drink, plates and utensils. Pelican Lake is 6 miles west and south of Watertown. If  you want to camp you can make reservations 90 days ahead at 1-800-710-CAMP. So you can begin making reservations on March 30th. Each spot is $16 a night plus you will need a park sticker or day pass to enter the park. The spots have electricity, you may get water for your tanks at the dump station. The spots closest to where we will be are spots 34 thur 44. There is one handicap spot and it is spot 46. Spots 34, 35 & 36 are on the water and the rest are in the trees. For an afternoon of shade the best spots are 37, 38, 40 43 & 45. There are also 2 cabins that are $35 a night which also require a park sticker. They have double bunk beds with twin on top and a queen bed plus a small table. There is also heat, air and a large deck in the front of the cabin. (Note: Both cabins are already taken) You must bring your own bedding. They have no running water or any place to cook other than the campfire.

We will also have some games set up and maybe even have a tournament or two. There is a playground and of course swimming, biking and an archery area, games can also be checked out at the entrance booth.

Things we've learned working in parks. Depending on how bad you want to camp Friday night you may want to reserve Thursday night as well. Usually the summer campgrounds fill up fast and it's the week prior to the 4th of July. If you are going to try to reserve for Thursday night as well you can go ahead and reserve starting March 29th.
